Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun!
It’s officially October, and you know what that means…spooky season is here! It’s time for pumpkin patches, haunted houses, scary movies, and costume parties! Sure, Halloween only lasts one day and doesn’t happen until the last day of the month, but everyone knows that spooky season lasts all month long and it’s never too early to start planning ahead.
So whether you are throwing a monster costume party, or having a scary movie marathon while carving pumpkins, it’s important that you incorporate the themes of the season into your celebration. So in the spirit of Halloween, we figured why not share some scarily-delicious Halloween cocktails that are not only to die for but are sure to be the highlight of any spooky or ghoulish celebration you have this month.
Replenish Your Spirits
We’ve all seen those incredible-looking cocktails on social media, right? The ones with dry ice, fake blood, and themed garnishes that look like they just were poured straight from a witch’s cauldron? That is the aesthetic that we are going for and we are pulling out all the tricks and all the treats by sharing these Halloween cocktail recipes with you, but feel free to modify any recipe to better suit your needs.
The best part of the cocktails that we are going to share with you today is that they all use our sugar-free electrolyte powder mixes, so you can enjoy delicious cocktails while also staying hydrated! Who needs Halloween candy when you can sip on the sweet taste of a spooky cocktail? All of the recipes contain the electrolyte powders and mixes from our Ultima Replenisher Mocktini Variety Pack.
If you really want to step up your game, try buying or making Halloween-themed cocktail glasses (wine glasses, martini glasses, etc.) You can find a variety of party glasses at the Dollar Store or any party supply store.
Spider’s Kiss Appletini
With the release of Hocus Pocus 2, nostalgia and witch costumes are surely going to be taking over this year. So, why not take your costume to the next level by having one of these in hand?
Ingredients:
- 1 Ultima Replenisher Appletini Stickpack
- 1½ Oz Vodka Or Gin
- ½ Oz Elderflower Liqueur
- Squeeze Of Lime
- 2 Oz Soda Water
- Plant-Based Blue Food Coloring
- Plant-Based Red Food Coloring
- Sugar-Free Caramel Sauce
Directions:
In a bowl, mix together a spoonful or two of caramel sauce (the thicker the better) and a few drops of red food coloring. Rim a martini glass with spooky red by dipping it into the caramel and then turning it, so the sauce drips onto the glass, not away from it. Combine all cocktail ingredients except soda water in a shaker with ice. Add just 1-2 drops of blue food coloring to brighten the green color, not so much it turns blue. Shake well to combine and then strain into a martini glass. Top off with soda water.
Devil’s Delight Peach Bellini
The next recipe is our spooky take on the Peach Bellini! Traditional Peach Bellini's are very popular for brunch, so this is an excellent drink to have if you opt for a spooky-themed brunch with your girlfriends.
Ingredients:
- 1 Ultima Replenisher Peach Bellini Stick pack
- 1½ Oz Whiskey
- ½ Oz Sugar-Free Triple Sec
- Juice Of ½ Lemon
- 4 Blackberries
- 3 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
- Chili Pepper
- Squeeze Of Orange
- Black Sugar For Rim (Optional)
Directions:
Use a lemon wedge to rim glass with black sugar. Add 3-4 blackberries to glass and gently muddle. Separately, muddle a few slices of chili peppers in a shaker. (Optional! If you like spicy drinks.) Add all additional ingredients and shake with ice. Fill the glass with ice and slowly strain in cocktail to layer on top of blackberries. Garnish with a chili pepper or more blackberries.
Creepy Cooler Colada
Traditional Pina Coladas are synonymous with tropical islands and warm weather, but not this version. Although our recipe is still a rum-based drink with coconut flavors, it is still perfectly spooky enough for this time of year.
Ingredients
- 1 Ultima Replenisher Coconut
- Piña Colada Stickpack
- 1½ Oz White Rum
- 2 Oz Strawberry Purée
- 3 Dashes Orange Bitters
- 1 Oz Coconut Cream (Unsweetened)
- Juice Of ½ Lime
Directions
Pour strawberry purée into the bottom of a glass. Fill the glass entirely with crushed or nugget ice. Separately, combine one Coconut Piña Colada stickpack, rum, coconut cream and lime juice. Stir well. Pour slowly into glass full of ice to layer. Top with a few dashes of orange bitters. Garnish with several cherries (choose bourbon cherries or darker cherries to add more of a spooky vibe).
